As we "blog" about our work in class, the articles will appear below; along with any photos we have uploaded to our class gallery, which you can view here.
P3 have had a very busy year so far and have learnt so much. In the first term we learnt about transport in our project and particularly enjoyed finding out about transport in different parts of the world. Before Christmas we did a great project on “The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch” and learned all about pulleys and forces of push and pull. We also learned how important Lighthouses were and did some fantastic art work.

This term our project has been “Houses and Homes” so we have learnt about building materials, house design, houses in different parts of the world and safety in the home.

We are very much looking forward to studying “Animal Kingdom” next term and our trip to the zoo!
One of our favourite topics in Language has been poetry and we really got into this in a big way, bringing in our favourite poems, learning poems (in English and in Scots for Burns Day) and writing poems. We had a whole wall covered with poems we had written and could have covered more if we had had the chance!!. The website gives an example of one of our best poems. We also enjoy spelling and particularly looking for the spelling rules we have just learned in our reading books.

At the moment we are reading a really exciting book “Shadow Forest” as our class novel and this has given us lots of imaginative ideas to write our own very descriptive stories.
We also love doing handwriting and Italian and have made great progress in both. In R.M.E we have been learning all about Islam and in I.C.T. we can create documents capturing and drawing pictures as well as using all sorts of fonts and sizes.
As for Maths, well we adore Maths and usually end the lesson with “Aw, I don’t want to stop, can we do more after Lunch?”
Mrs Denvir has had such fun doing fantastic art with us this year and is absolutely delighted with the progress we have made. Please look at our gallery showing our work.
We have worked very hard but had lots of fun in Primary 3. We know that our teacher is very proud of us and thinks we are just fabulous!
