Class Teacher: Mrs J Simpson

Welcome to our class pages! As we blog about our work, projects and trips they will appear below, along with any photos we choose to upload.

As part of our literacy week P1 and P1/2 enjoyed a fantastic story telling session with Susan Wilson.

We wonder if the children might be able to retell the stories to you?

Primary 1 have settled back into class after the Christmas holidays. We have started our topic of Night and Day and we have loved reading about Plop in  'The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark'. The children loved recreating Plop using a range of collage media.

Please read our Curriculum Leaflet for this term which will outline all our learning for the next few weeks. Lots to look forward to!

Primary 1 have settled into life and routines at Roseburn beautifully. They are approaching school work with enthusiasm, excitement and diligence! I’m very impressed with how well they are lining up and how quickly they are settled and ready to learn.

Primary 7 have been wonderful buddies and the children absolutely love spending time with them. Last week the children were learning how to think about an imaginative story in Writing Workshop and were lucky enough to have their buddies to scribe for them. They followed this up with a session of Buddy reading. Miss Watt, Miss Kerr and I were very proud of all the children and the fantastic stories they produced.

We have lots of exciting events planned this term and I feel very lucky to be teaching such a responsive and enthusiastic class of children.
