Primary 7

Class Teacher: Miss Watt / Miss Kerr

Welcome to our class pages! As we blog about our work, projects and trips they will appear below, along with any photos we choose to upload.

What an exciting adventure we have ahead of us this year – our final one at Roseburn Primary School!

Primary 7 is a very busy year - we have already been out on two trips with three more ahead of us! On 22nd August we visited the International Book Festival to hear Ann M. Martin speak about her new book ‘How to Look for a Lost Dog’. In a question and answer session, she explained what inspired her to write, how she organised her writing contracts and where her ideas for novels came from. Sitting in the front row gave us the opportunity to ask lots of questions! Some of us were lucky enough to have our books signed after the event.

Our second trip was to the Scottish Museum of Modern Art where we visited the Surreal Encounters exhibition. As we walked along the Water of Leith, we took many photographs of the scenery on our doorstep using the iPads.  These images will be used as a stimulus in our upcoming Art lessons. More information can be found about this excursion on the Art page.

In school, we have been busy meeting our Primary 1 buddies and helping them to settle in to life at Roseburn. We helped in the very first P1 writing lessons. We wrote down the stories that our buddies told us and they illustrated the work afterwards.

Finally, we have all applied for prefect positions and had interviews with Mrs Teden and Ms Gardner. We have taken our roles and responsibilities very seriously and are trying our best to always set an example to the younger children.
